Project C.A.R.E. (Committed to African American Retention in Education) is a freshmen and transfer minority mentoring program. First year Western Carolina University Students are assigned to an upperclassmen, whom are apart of Western's B.E.S.T. (Black Educational Support Team). Western's B.E.S.T. plans community service, academic, and social events monthly for Project C.A.R.E.
